Title: New user Q: JRiver stopping streaming video in Browser
Post by: ecc on December 30, 2015, 07:40:39 pm
Hi

Just purchased JRiver yesterday for listening to music only and from an audio perspective its great but I have a problem I cant seem to fix without reinstalling, every time. This is probably an easy one for most of you so hoping someone can help. At the start my main problem was it was taking sole control of volume over my windows PC so no other volume worked e.g. windows volume or in browser volume (youtube). Actually browser volume was disabled/muted no matter what JRiver volume I has it set at (internal volume for info).  Now its got worse in that if i open a youtube video in a browser (firefox or google) it wont load so no video or audio. I didn't customise or change any settings so was wondering if someone can give me a steer here.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
C

You may have WASAPI set to exclusive mode.  That's what would happen.  Uncheck the option in Audio settings.
