Have been trying to get my windows 10 notebook to stream multichannel sacd iso to my Yamaha Avr for crying out loud with no success. Only managed to get 2.1 channels.
Plug the hdmi from mac mini to Yamaha Avr and it worked worked on second try after I added the hdmi profile in.
MAC is so friendly. DSD gets converted to pcm 176.
