Title: Replacing files but with new tags

i recently deleted many songs which i had in multiple playlists, but then re-ripped those songs at a higher bitrate into the old folders where the old songs used to be.

Now i still have the old tags still in my playlists but they are obviously unable to play.

Is it possible to replace those old tags with the new songs? I know i messed up but im hoping there's an alternative to re-importing the higher bitrate ones and then put them in the playlists individually again?

Try "Update Library" in the file menu.
File > Library > Update Library...
