Title: How to purge library and re-import music files from scratch?
Post by: Lewin on February 12, 2016, 03:21:12 pm
When I upgraded to v21, all my photos were imported into the library, in addition to the audio files. I thought that I specified the correct partition, as I really only want my audio files to be managed by MC. However, if I look at the field (name).jmd file, it contains the filenames of all my pictures, which I don't want to be imported. So maybe I did something wrong?

Is there a way to purge the library to a virgin state and re-import?

File > Library > Clear Library

That will totally empty your library.  If you were upgrading though, why aren't you restoring a backup of your old library from your previous version of MC?  Did you want to start fresh on purpose?
