Title: Switching to Media Center 9
Post by: jebbrown on August 23, 2003, 05:53:20 pm
Is there any reason for me to move from Media Jukebox to Media Center if I have no interest in video?

Absolutely.  Contrary to their psuedo-official stance back late last year, they did not[/u] stop working on the audio aspects of the program.  Far from it!  Couple that with their redesign of the media library, its functionality, and its interface, you have a completely new and enhanced product.

There's just too many differences to describe.  Just try it out for thirty days and see for yourself.  (Just don't install it over your MJ8.)  In MJ8, you should be able to back up your library and then from MC9, just restore that backup.

Warning:  I'm not sure about all the in's and out's of installing both MJ8 and MC9 on the same system.  The registry keys might collide.  You may want to wait for someone else to respond before proceeding forward with my suggestion!!!
