How can I get 2 albums to come up on the same playlist, instead of having 2
-
I can't figure out what you are asking. Maybe posting a screen shot would make your question more clear?
Brian.

When I rip a 2 CD set via dBpoweramp and than import it to JRiver it comes up as 2. I would love to have both CDs come up in one spot. Can this be done in JRiver ?

Just set the 'Album Artist' field to the same value for both discs.
-
How do I do that in JRiver?
-
Select the files you want and edit the tag.
-
I can't get it to work. :-[
-
Highlight the files in the album. Now select Edit > Tag . You'll see the Tagging Window pop up on the left. You may need to use it's drop down menu to display more (or all) fields. Go find [Album Artist]. You can edit it directly in the box in the Tagging Window.
Depending on how the CD was ripped, you might need to set values for [Disc #] also.
Brian.

what seperates your discs is that they basically have 2 different titles.
first make sure in tags you set disc numbers correctly in the "disc #" tag field
then make the album title the same for both discs (remove disc 1 and disc 2 from the album name)
the suggestion setting "album artist" to for example "various" is also recommended to keep your list of artist clean
-
EJR: Good catch! I hadn't noticed that there were different album titles in the screen shots. You are definitely correct in your recommendation.
Brian.

Got it working Thanks :)

After a bit of work, I did this with the CDs. http://s11.postimg.org/3mz2cp91v/Capture66666666666.png

Getting these 2 CDs as one was A LOT easier. Compilations CDs are a PAIN. Thank you all for getting me on track ;D

It might be easier if you used Media Center to rip.
-
Congratulations on your progress so far. :)

Eh, not really, once you understand what to do. It's really just a matter of a few things:
1. Fill out Album Artist for compilations.
2. Make sure each CD in a multi-disc set has [Disc #] set correctly. You can do this at rip time with your ripping program.
3. Set the Album name to be the same for all discs in a multi-disc set.
That's pretty much it. It becomes very routine after a while. Welcome to Media Center tagging. :)

Never thought of that....COOL ;) I have tried the JRiver ripper and it was OK. I find dBpoweramp to be very accurate at it's job.
-
You can't get more accurate than perfect. If you use the Secure Rip setting in MC you can't get a more reliable rip.
-
Can you rip CDs in FLAC lossless uncompressed in JRiver ? I have yet to use this ID Tagger that I have https://www.dbpoweramp.com/perfecttunes.htm
