In the library fields, when the field 'Lock external tag editor work' is checked, I can't edit MC's own, specific fields in Foobar2000 (eg "soloists", as well as any custom field). When it is not checked, I can. How is this ensured?
I'm asking because I seem to have some annoying fields from music some friends shared with me that I can't delete.
Are there ways to bypass such protection? With MC, or with another program?
And similary, suppose I check the field 'Lock external tag editor work'. How can this protection be bypassed externally?
