Title: Help! ... I deleted my Audio "files" library view :-(
Post by: shAf on February 20, 2016, 10:52:28 am
I was trying to delete a media file when somehow the "files" (audio) library view was selected and was deleted instead.  I thought I'd be able to create another by examining the "Files" library view for Video, but whereas 'location' is a category for viewing the video files, there doesn't seem to be a 'location' available in the list of catagories(??)

TIA  :)

Add a new Panes category to your view.  Now, on the left side of the dialog, notice that it has Library Field selected.  Click the next choice down called "File Path".  That will give you a Location pane.

Thanks Brian ... Hmmm(?) I believe I tried that first will have to check ...

On the other hand, I was able to create a files view by dragging the video version into audio and choosing 'copy'...then to make modifications (eg, video media to audio media). Almost back to normal except I cannot get "image (large thumbnail)" to work. It shows as a column header but shows no album art(?)

Good work, sounds like you got it.

Image (large thumbnail) is one of those weird things about MC.  It will NOT show in a list type view unless you set "Group By" to Album.  In that case (group by album) it will show up automatically.

Brian.
