I cannot get my new IRMAN just installed to work with MC9.1.237
The IRserver is receiving data from the remote but when i try and start the plugin from MC I get the following error message:

anyone have any advice?

I got this when I installed my IRMAN but I can't remember what I did to solve it (useless aren't I!). What I do remember is that I got it going within about half an hour!
Try plug it into a different COM port
Check COM port is enabled in device manager

thanks but tried that - also tried calling it a complete and utter £$%^££
The irman works controlling winamp but only mc throws the error

You've put a curse on me. Now I've dl .238 I get the same error every time I start MC and I have to manually restart the plugin each time.

Well like the dialog say: Make sure no other program is taking control - like the Infrared Server that comes with Irman.
You probably already checked this but just to be sure ;)
