Title: Skin (Request/Vote)

Well Iam nearly have in my thoughts some looking forward to make another skin before i start the development of my past skins MINI-MEs..

So anyone have an idea what can the next skin is.. write it and consider it as a vote or somethin :)

what'd look pretty cool would be a skin designed to look totally flat - no curves, or anything.

Just a totally flat skin with really good colours etc.

It'd be different from all the rest which have gradients, curves etc :)


Just a very colourful (tastefully so - not like the windows default themes where they go a bit overboard with the black bg and the green txt etc) simple skin?

What'd u think?

The cows will be back together with some other skins I made when the GUI changes for 9.1 settle down... I don't have the time to update 5 or 6 skins with every new build, so I confine to do that with the WinDoze skins only ... please be patient  ;)

I definitely think that a "Luna" skin, or a set of three (green, blue, silver) would be welcomed.

I would like a skin that emulates one of my favorite XP visual styles, "Milk Redux" by KoL:  http://www.studiotwentyeight.net

Packaged with matching mini-me skins, track info templates and hairstyle skins, of course.  And in one MJP that installs 'em all, naturally.

I have just started doing a Luna Skin.  I am not really sure what I am doing yet so I am using knickelfarz WinDoze as a guide but changing it to look like Luna.  Once I have done the basics it should be easy enough to do the other color schemes too...

I agree.  Maybe you could add you view to this thread as it could do with a quick bump!

On the subject of skins, the only thing that could pull me away from toMy00's fantastic WMP skin would be a nice silver XP style skin.  Brushed metal just doesn't do it for me.

I offered to make a XP/Luna skin when I posted the WinDoze skins, but nobody seemed to be interested... Cheers Knickelfarz.  I guessed that as XP and 98 aren't that disimilar your skin was a good place to start.  Ihope you don't mind!!  Also I couldn't for the life of me work out to get the menu below the title bar so thought if I used yours as a guide I could change the graphics and the menu would almost be correct.  I have nearly finished the top bar now.  It looks like a standard explorer window and I will use the explorer buttons as the player controls...

Advice though please ;D  I need to bring the menu down about three pixels.  What setting in the xml does this?? Cheers

No, as said, I'm happy about not being the one to make the Luna thing. I get an eyesore every time I see that Baby Luna look... but I know that it's very useful for some XP users...

Cheers!  I managed to find it in the end.  I was looking for a menu option rather than toolbar!!  I am still finding my way around. Finally realised the difference between frame and main frame and how to get the main frame transparent!!  Starting to shape up nicely.  I have most of the main frame done now then I will move onto transport controls.  I don't personally like Luna either but as it was requested and easily accessible I thought I would try it for a first skin!!  Thanks for your help.  I will be probably nobble you again before it is through!!

I vote for Doreen's TV.  All the skins for 9.1 so far are bright affairs, but there are those of us who have dark desktops and backgrounds.  Just my thoughts...

Second that.  I'd love a nice skin in some sort of silvery color but darker and nicer than the brushed metal.

Once I have the Luna basics sorted I will be transferring the various color schemes I have, one of which is a mod of the default silver skin in XP but slightly darker with dark buttons...should fulfil your needs...just need to get the original luna out the door first!!
