Title: Parametric EQ Doesn't Work In PMW
Post by: BrianKW on February 25, 2016, 02:11:22 pm
For some reason the Parametric EQ in PMW doesn't work for me.
I keep getting "output format not supported"
?

Unfortunately the Graphic EQ needs more frequency options for my needs.

PMW doesn't come with a Parametric EQ, did you add a DirectShow plugin?

Thanks, John.
Yes I found the option in the "manage plug-ins" and it is a DirectShow add-on.
I had no idea, until now, that it's not part of PMW but Windows (I just Googled after your kind reply)

My problem is I've been suffering from some kind of neurological damage lately where certain frequencies are too schrill.
The Graphic doesn't quite zero in on the offending frequencies.

I've added some great 3rd party VST's but I can't figure out how to call on any setting I made when I convert the music.
The settings I made in the player section don't show up in the convert section with added DSP.
This is extremely maddening when each song of a ripped CD needs separate EQing.

I have to EQ in PMW since the player has no EQ option.

Is there a way to call upon the settings I made in the player section when converting?

OK...this happens a lot >:(

I just tried to apply a VST while converting (Antress Modern Exciter) since the bass and treble boost tends to scoop the offending frequencies for me.
However when I click "convert" PMW shuts down.
?
This is a 32 bit VST so what's the problem?
