For video files, It would be great to have the "Language" tag with the languages of the various audio tracks available (such as Eng, Fra, Esp, Deu...) from DVDs, .mkv, .m2ts...etc.
It then will be possible to build filters using that tag, and would make it easier to choose movies according to the audio languages available (some friends of mine cannot watch movies in English).
I guess JRiver has already much of what is needed to achieve this because it will always select the right audio channel for playback, according to the preferences set in Options>Video>Subtitles & Languages>Default Audio Language
The icing on the cake would be to have the same for subtitles... (but would first require to create a dedicated tag)
Many thnaks in advance guys !

One problem that I see is that stream names are not standardized, they are all over the place.
Personally, I also use french, and I see "fre" and "fra" lost anywhere in the name of the stream. Sometimes there is not even that...
I have resorted to always manually populate [Language] upon ripping/importing movies.
