Title: WDM (Ipc) with ASIO Sound Blaster Z ISSUE
Post by: guer_j on March 01, 2016, 09:59:20 am
For some reason WMD (Ipc) (playback device driver)  only output  2channels with JRiver's audio device set to "Creative SBZ Series [ASIO]"

The WASAPI device worked fine.

Anybody seen a similar issue?

You need to configure the number of channels the WDM driver has in the Windows sound control panel.

If you're using the latest drivers, the SBZ will only accept a stereo signal via WASAPI - at least when your card is configured for a stereo output. E.g. mixing a 5.1 input to a 2.0 headphone output with SBX Surround.

Use WASAPI if that's what you're trying to do.
It's a limitation of the Creative drivers, not JRiver.
