Title: Playing MC21 through Airfoil to Apple Airport Express and onto B&O Beolit 12
Post by: w.sachse on March 01, 2016, 10:07:25 pm
I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get MC 21 to Playback using Airfoil to connect wirelessly via AirPort Express to a B&O Beolit 12 speaker. All I get is buzzzz. I looked at old postings but all seem to refer to Macs and its OS. I have a Windows XP (which will be replaced shortly by a new machine running Windows 10.)  I should mention that iTunes, VLC and the Microsoft Media Player all connect seamlessly. I can't believe that MC 21 which seems to be so good in many aspects is really so unfriendly when it comes to playback of the audio. . . w.

TuneBlade works better for me than Airfoil, though I've not tried the new version they released a couple of weeks ago.

But, pray tell, what did you have to do to get Airfoil to work.
Of course, I'll try Tuneblade if that's what it takes.

I managed to get Airfoil V5.1 (both Bluetooth and Airplay simultaneously) working by changing the MC21 latency to 1 second. Player-Options-Audio Device-Device Settings. Hope that helps you with your issue.
