Title: Type of cabling to use: router to television

When sending signals from a home router to television (or Id) on another floor of a home (about 80-100 ft distance):  How much of an advantage is it using Cat5 vs. Cat5e vs. Cat 6 vs. Cat6a cable.  I want to "future-proof" to accommodate future requirements over the next 10-15 years.

Any other tips in running the cable?
