Title: What does the "Play button" setting do in Tools>Options>General>Behavior?
Post by: thecrow on March 08, 2016, 09:07:50 am
I see the setting "Play button" with the options of "Play visable files" or "Play Playing Now" in the General tab under the Behavior section.
What does this do?

"Play visible files" will play the files you're looking at.  So you look at a Beatles album and hit play and that album will play.

"Play Playing Now" just hooks the play button directly to Playing Now, so whatever is in Playing Now will play.  It doesn't care what you're looking at.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Does this apply to Theater View when using a MCE style remote?

I think the play button on your MCE remote will always play the visible files in Theater View.
