We bought a bulb for testing color. It is an Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave LED Light Bulb, Gen5 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQISQW4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00).
It worked. We can make it do color. But we also took a look inside and it was pretty interesting.
The outside ring has 15 diodes and produces only white light, which they call "cool light".
Inside that ring are 4 more diodes that produce red, green, or blue (RGB). It turns out that "warm light" just has a little red added.

For comparison, the Philips Hue 456186 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014H2OZJS/ref=s9_dcbhz_bw_g60_i3_sh) color bulb is $59.95 and supports ZigBee but not Z-Wave.
