Title: Create and Edit Playlists Remotely
Post by: skidoo on August 17, 2003, 01:45:22 pm
This has been a glaring bug for a looooong time.

The playlists I create in MC should be saved in the current library, whether that library is being served up by Media Server, or whether it's local.

OR, at the very least, don't lead me to believe that my playlist will be preserved, and then silently nuke when I exit. This is **EXTREMEMELY**frustrating. At least warn me or something.

And yes, I know I can export the playlist before I exit, but that doesn't work so well when MC crashes because you're previewing songs "too quickly" or something.

I've hunted the boards, I've hunted the FAQs. If anyone has an insight I'd appreciate it.

The only insight I have for you is just that that's the way it works.

I've grumbled about it myself, that playlists I create remotely should be saved on the local PC, not the server itself. That way if you're sharing your library with a couple of friends, you can all have your own playlists without everybody else having to see them too.

I would even settle for that. That would be nice. Ditto those grumbles. GRUMBLE!!!! GRUMBLE!!!

On the same note ... I would like the TOP HITS to reflect what I myself play at home and what my friends play from the server too ... :)

Currently NUMBER OF PLAYS is not affected by remote plays ...
