Title: Converting DTS File to WAV
Post by: Duspin on March 15, 2016, 01:13:01 pm
Need to extract DTS 5.1 music files from DVD.  Can anyone help me do this with JRiver MC 20?  or 21?

Thanks very much.

You'll probably need a speciality program like DVD Audio Extractor to accomplish this.

As far as I know, MC won't read DVD-A from a DVD-A.  But it should read the DTS audio track from a regular DVD.  I don't use MC to rip DVDs though (I use the Mac version which doesn't have this).  I've used DVD Audio Extractor for both DVD-A and DTS audio DVDs and it worked well.  In both cases the audio was saved as FLAC (my choice).

I've also used MakeMKV to rip concerts that have a DTS audio track and that worked great, including saving the video.
