Since the last update, Media Center freezes after the exit command. The only way to stop the program is with windows task manager. Does anyone recognize this problem and is there a solution? ?
-
Have you waited long enough on exit to be sure that MC is not just doing some cleanup tasks?
Do you have any tasks (like audio analysis) left that still need to be done (check at "Services & Plug-ins>Reporter")?
-
Hi,
thanks for you quick answer. I closed JRiver now about 4 hours ago and it is still in status 'not responding'. As far as i know there are no additional tasks to perform.

It's good that you created a Log.
I don't know too much about reading these Logs but it looks like the last thing it was doing was working on a "Doctor Who" playlist.
Can you turn off the Doctor Who feature and see if that solves the problem (Tools>Options>General>features, then uncheck the Doctor Who box)?
PS. Might as well install the new version (.58) at the top of this forum. One of the fixes in the new build might fix your issue too.

I installed version .58, put dr Who to rest and still have the same result. Do you have any other suggestions?
-
Can you attach another log? With the other log you posted, that might give us some more information.
-
Try uninstalling any antivirus software you're running.
-
I deinstalled my antivirus program and the firewall. With no result. Here is another log.
-
Try turning off Doctor Who.
Options > General > Features > Doctor Who

I already did (see previous post)

Well the hang log you posted couldn't have had Doctor Who disabled, because it was doing a bunch of stuff at the shutdown time. And it looked like it stalled on one of the operations, which is why I suggested disabling it.
I guess it's possible that Doctor Who doesn't shut off nicely. I've asked our Doctor Who expert to take a look.
Thanks.
