Title: Setting for compilations?
Post by: Tunedelicious on March 18, 2016, 07:37:50 pm
I have compilation albums with various artists. Other music players <cough -- iTunes -- cough> let you designate an album as a compilation so you do not see twenty albums containing one song apiece, and of course you can play random tracks between various albums. Is there a way to do this, make a track part of a compilation instead of it's own album, in PonoMusicWorld?

Heck, is there a way to play tracks in a shuffle mode on the player, in case you want to hear more than one album straight through?

Thanks, all.

To shuffle, go to "songs" and press the double arrow icon (all), center bottom. Done! You can also shuffle songs within an album this way.

Compilation albums can be grouped together correctly using the [Album Artist] tag.  Just fill out Album Artist with a single value and it will group all the tracks into an album properly.  I use this string for compilations that don't have specific artist as the main theme:

(Multiple Artists)

This makes these albums sort first in an Artists view, because of the parenthesis sorting before A-Z.
