When I use the song progress bar to scroll a song forward or backward, directly in JRiver 21 for Mac, my Linn Majik DSM crashes and restarts.
The Linn does not crash when driven from another source (Deezer Mac App, Kazoo or Bubble DS with Asset UPnP,...).
In Kazoo and JRemote on tablets the progress bar does not show on the tablet app when using the JRiver or JRiver UPnP server as a source (at least it cannot cause a crash as you can't fast forward a song...).
The Linn also did not crash with JRiver 20: can you please restore the MC20 functionality in MC21?
I am stopping using JRiver in the meantime.
Many thanks!

What version of MC are you using? Did you try the latest?
-
Helo JimH,
I am using 21.0.64 on an iMac retina, El Capitan 10.11.4
-
...fired up my old PC out of curiosity and just updated MC on it too: the Win10 MC 21,0,65 version gives he same problem....
On PC too, MC20 worked fine....
-
If it happens with two different OS's and two different machines, then it is possible that the Linn device has a firmware bug.
Can you post a log?
-
I am not the only one with this Linn issue (search the Interact forum with "Linn", post by Stigmater), and Linn is saying it is a known JRiver issue (tried them before you as I thought like you do their firmware was to blame).
And also, JRiver MC20 works....
How do I get a log and post it?
-
The instructions for generating logs are here: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Logging
-
Thank you, here is the log
-
...and what should be a shorter log after a reset... :)
-
Hello Jim and Brad, any news based on the log?
Thanks!

I sent you a private message. Please, check your messages for it.

Hi, i have the Same Problem with my linn klimax. Many linn Users Reporting this Issue.
I guess there is no Solution? Im completely convinced from jriver i wont use something else)
But i have to use mc20 and i could Never Update.
Is this solved Or solved in mc22?
Best regards

At the moment, there is no solution. One thing you can do is try downloading and installing 21.0.19 and verify if the problem still exists. Then download and install 21.0.8 and verify if the problem goes away.
