Title: Problems with Media Server
Post by: jbhelicon on August 19, 2003, 09:29:09 am
I'm using Media Server on one PC to drive a Media Center client on another. Some funnies observed:
(*) Visualizations don't work for .WAV files, tho they do for .MP3s. Note that vis'ns work for .WAV if the library is local - only not if the library is Server-served.
(*) Commencement of playing AVIs is delayed until a large part (all?) of the AVI has been transferred over the net from Server to client, and that transfer occurs at well below wire speed (maybe limited by temp file i/o on the destination Media Center PC?). This seems wrong.

Any ideas on either / both?

Cheers
