I play a lot of youtube clips and want the best playback.
I use madvr and 970 card
Someone on the madvr thread said to use Avisynth and ffdshow for playing youtube and improving the look.
How do I do this on JRiver, can someone help me please?

Your question is reminiscent of the following:

to which the deceptively simple answer is:

So here is a deceptively simple answer to your question:
Install ffdshow and avisynth onto your system and then select from the many available avisynth scripts those that you think might improve your video viewing.
Under the MC video options select Video Mode:advanced:custom: Custom Video Mode. In Custom Video Mode add ffdshow post processing having started with Red October HQ.
I suggest a LOT of use of Google first.........
