Title: Stream my library on my iPhone 6+
Post by: stumpygremlin on April 01, 2016, 06:44:43 pm
I'm trying to figure out how to stream my music from JRiver 20 to my iPhone 6+.

I'm on Windows 10. Can someone put detailed step-by-step instructions for a computer dummy on here? I have no idea what I'm doing, if it's possible at all.

Thanks a million!

Are you using the JRemote iOS app?

Nope. I'm not familiar with it.

I went into Windows Firewall, opened up port 52199, went into Webgizmo, and logged in on my phone. I get a blank browser page now...

OK. I went in and changed the URL to

my IP:52199/WebPlay

Clicked on "Click here to play from Media Center on an Android, iPhone, or other device."

Clicked on "Play" on a playlist

and then now I still get a blank browser window after that, with no music playing...

It's really worth investing the $10 to get JRemote for iOS.

Exactly that. Small potatoes after splashing out on a 6s+. You won't regret it.

I use windows 10 and JRemote, very easy, on my Iphone6plus.
Generate access key and authentication. This goes via your network/router via wifi to your Iphone6.
Enable wifi on your iPhone
Install JRemote, open JRemote, it will search for JRiver Media Center
enter your authentication. And voila, read the manual for JRemote, but I didn't need it, it's that easy.
