Title: Running MC from SME Server
Post by: JustinChase on August 15, 2003, 12:26:45 pm
Hi,

I know MC can operate as a media server, although I have never used this, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea if it can be run on a Linux Box.

I have a server in my business that runs SME Server, which is a freely distributed Linux Server (Kicks Ass) and I want to install MC on this box, or if necessary, just load my music library on the server, and be able to play the files from my laptop, either from home via VPN connection or from anywhere in the house via wireless.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Any guesstimate as to when that might change.  And  no, I will not try to hold you to anything.

I am just wondering if it is expected/hoped for in the next few months or next several years?

Thanks,

Chris

Sorry, but it's not possible to say.
