Ive just moved all my 700 BD collection across from years with Kodi to JRiver/madvr.
Ive recently noticed the 5.1 LPCM BDs that used to play correctly now only play 2 channel stereo which shows in the source ID on my Marantz AV8802, there is no dialog from the centre channel. Ive looked in the JRiver settings but cant find what I have wrong here. Can someone help me please?
I am bitstreaming...

What connection are you using from the PC to the Marantz?

HDMI

I'm a decoder (not a bit-streamer) but check a couple of things:
- Tools--> Options--> Audio--> Audio Device / Device Settings : Are you Using WASAPI and set for Exclusive Mode
- Check your DSP Settings to make sure it is either Source # of Channels or the # of Channels = # Of Speakers
- Check the Windows Audio --> Playback Devices is set-up correctly for the correct # of Channels
-
....Also to "see" what MC is doing, play your movie, hit esc, then while it is playing click on the DSP Display Icon (as shown in the pic).

It may also be a matter of picking the correct audio stream for the video you are playing back. By default MC picks the first stream in the video. I'm not sure how to select streams in theater view. Someone else will certainly know how. Up arrow maybe?
Brian.

Up arrow maybe?
You don't choose them in Theater View. You choose them in Display View (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Display_View)'s OSD. So, yes, up or down arrow, exactly as you'd do it on a Mac.
Brian, since you're on a Mac, you wouldn't know this, but you don't pick things like that from Theater View (which is just a different way to look at the Media Views and Playlists, much like Media Network Views). Playback is controlled through Playing Now.
