9.1.233
Panes:
I use 8 panes, this works fantastically well; but, some entries are too long to be fully seen. I suggest when hovering over a long item a popup will show the entire item, similar to the way it does now in the Media Library.
Zones:
I need a toolbar button option that will do a quick "Toggle Zones".
Plus, it would be nice to be able to copy one zone's Playing Now track list to another zone, like maybe off the Send To context menu option.
Also, after toggling zones the MC9 volume control seems to stop controlling the volume - it moves, but vol does not change - have to use the XPpro Volume Control.

You can use 'Ctrl-T' to quickly toggle zones.
If using a remote I have been told you can program Girder to do keyboard shortcuts through your remote.
I hope that helps.

Ya thanks, but no remote and the kb is hidden away outta sight when I need to toggle the zone, so basically a zone toggle button is needed for when I'm only using a mouse.

Why do you need so many panes? It sounds like you should be setting up a few more view schemes with fewer panes (typically mine VS use about 3 panes). I have about 10 view schemes then another 10 or so special ones for tagging.

You can also access zone options by right-clicking on the DSP Studio button that is at the end of the playing progress bar.

OK that helps, thanks! The Help file says it can be toggled by clicking the Playback Options button which I could not find anywhere.

The panes allow super quick and flexible filtering, they are setup as:
Genre, Artist, Album Artist, Album, Mood, Preference Situation, Tempo
... as an old MMJB user you can probably recognize those last 4 tags. I had been using MMJB for over 3yrs before switching over to MC, and I did like those custom tagging options and so have kept using them (and have added a few tag keywords of my own which is great to be able to do).
So that lets me quickly select something like:
Genre = House
Mood = Upbeat
Preference = Fantastic
Tempo = Fast
... and then also quickly repick a different item like Mood = Mellow. With over 5000 tracks it makes it a lot easier to make quick combinations/selections. I guess views could also do it for the often-used combinations, but the panes are working out supremely.
Incidentally, I really thank JRiver for adding the MMJB tag support into MC, I had asked for it many times and they delivered early during MC9 development/beta.

That's probably because the Help file is referring to MC 9.0. A lot of the interface has changed in 9.1.
