Title: Short Films Repeatedly Download Incorrect Metadata
Post by: Ashfall on April 18, 2016, 10:03:37 am
I have several short films which are obscure and not to be found on themoviedb.com.  But several of them download incorrect metadata for a movie of the same name (but different year).  I manually remove the incorrect cover art and all the other metadata, but it just gets downloaded again within a day without asking.  I don't have this problem with any other category.  Is this something I can configure or turn off?  It started a while back, when Get Movie & TV Info was added for Shorts.  Media type is Video, and sub-type is Short.

You probably have these Short Films in a directory or drive that is monitored (a "watched folder") at Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Configure Auto Import.
IF yes, then I suspect the monitoring tool is seeing a change in the file (like when you delete the wrong metadata) and then running the import tools again. You can turn off (uncheck the box for) Get Movie & TV Info in the Configure Auto Import section. Or you can stop monitoring the folders where the Short Films are kept.
I'm not 100% sure that this is what is going on - just my guess.
Good luck.
