Doesn't just minimizing the application hide it?

I goofed when I asked this question, What I mean is I only use the software as an organizer not a player and I wanted to hide the upper portion of the screenthat has the "Play , Pause, ETC Buttons).  It's really not a big deal  I'm enjoying working with the software, my collect looks great in all the views!! 2 things you might try

1) is just display View (from the View menu or CTRL+3)

2) this is cool if you want to display your views without the player and menu bars -- best way to show you is a screenshot (see attached)

you might wanna try CTRL 5..
both the `player` and the tree disappear.. move your mouse to the left or the top to see those.

Thanks to all, I tried both methods and it works perfect.  I've got 76 movies so far in MC 21 (Still have about 4,000 to Go, no hurry, I'm retired) and this is looking good!!

PS - I also notice that you can add some of your own fields in MC21, I know a few good things I can use that for!!
