There is a small feature in one of your competitors products (which shall remain nameless for now...) that I would dearly love to see in MC. It is shown in the attached picture, but it just a tiny little overlay on each album art cover, in the upper left hand corner, that clearly identified what kind of data is any album one checks.

Ooh, that's neat :)
Like that a lot.

Can you not get this information by hovering the mouse over the cover now?
I'd expect some people to be unhappy to have this on their cover art.

I expect the smart people at JRiver would make it optional if they added the feature.
If overlays like this were to be added, I'd prefer that they were a bar across the top of the image which could be customized, just like the thumbnail text.
I don't know if it's something that I'd use though.

Tooltips do not show up when hovering over Album Cover Art; they only show up by hovering over individual Tracks.
Personally, I'd love to see a customizable overlay like this over all Cover Art, not just Albums. Something along the lines of Thumbnail Text in Standard View or Expression to Display in Theater View. Both are incredibly powerful, but can easily get cluttered. Shifting some info to a transparent overlay would be awesome. Even better if some of the info (like codec, MPAA Rating, etc) was graphic/logo rather than purely text based.

I know I would be. :P
