Title: Real One required for Web Media files
Post by: Scurdog on August 14, 2003, 05:33:50 am
When I try and play web media files, i.e. NPR's online radio feed, I get error messages  such as Errors encountered, make sure your path in the media library points to the right location.

Prior to this I get a Install RealOne screen.

Why are some of these files requiring RealOne and how can I get MC to play these files.  I already altered the File Associations to control all file types?  What am I missing?

I have version 9.1.333 on an XP machine, but this has happened intermittently for a long time.

real player is required per the directions in the help file.

real media owns the rights to the media files and they will not release the rights to the format.
