I have successfully used a 2 PC solution for some time: a Windows PC running MC15 as server and a Linux (Mint) PC runing MC 20 as renderer.
However as of yesterday, while the Linux PC still shows up as an end point in MC15 and play apparently starts, there is no sound and it looks like the first 5 secs of play keeps repeating. The MC15 server successfully plays to other end points and the MC20 box plays fine when used as a player directly. Both machines can still be successfully controlled by JRemote (just not as server/renderer).
Even though I think they were set up correctly (as in it used to work OK ) I have even tried turning off firewalls on both machines but the problem persists.
Any suggestions?

Try powering everything off and back on. Network, computers, sound devices, etc.
You could be using MC20 for the Windows side too. Old versions are available and you could use your MC20 license. More here:

Jim, thanks for diplomatically steering me back on side :)

Thanks, turned everything off last night. Back on this morning and all normal again..
Do you mean I can use my MC20 Linux install key to register a MC20 Windows copy?
