Title: Disable or Edit Complete Album Field
Post by: robertsocal on May 01, 2016, 01:48:55 pm
There are several views that I employ where the Complete Album field appears to automatically group the view in a different manner than my settings.

I can obtain the view I want by sorting in the preferred order overriding the grouping but this is only temporary.   Subsequently, the view defaults to original grouping that appears to be based upon the Complete Album field which is not editable.

Can I disable this field or make it editable?

Thanks!

No.

You can however, either remove grouping altogether, which is what you want if I'm understanding correctly, or pick something else to group by.

Hover your mouse over the view name in the tab for a second, and you will see the "view header menu" appear. Use the choices in the "Grouping" sub menu to either remove grouping altogether, or pick a different field to group by.

Title: Re: Disable or Edit Complete Album Field -- Permanently Setting Column Views

Thank you Marko.  Your suggestion worked as described.

One more related request for viewing desired columns.  I have a preset view which is maintained as long as I don't close the program.

Upon a new start, the viewed columns revert to a different setting (presumed default).

How can I set the preset column view to become the default setting?
