Title: Can't connect to Bryston SP3 Surround Processor

JRiver keeps complaining that it can't connect to the audio device.  My HTPC works fine bitstreaming the signal via MPC HC over HDMI.  I'm also using madVr and Lav.  Can anyone suggest the settings I should configured to get the digital audio signal over for decoding by the processor?
