Title: Licensing concern
Post by: Mike Rubin on May 05, 2016, 01:05:20 pm
Hi.  This really isn't a public issue, so am only posting in the forum because I don't know how to reach JRiver folks otherwise.  Sorry if this is not the right place.

I have had terrible computer luck in the last six months.  After installing MC 21, I had issues with my desktop machine after upgrading to Windows 10, so did a clean reinstall, which used up another install for MC.  I then began to have random Windows crash issues, with daily BSOD's and never the same explanation in the logs twice.  As a result, I reinstalled Windows and MC at least a couple more times.  I finally got SMART drive issues that resulted in my having to replace the HDD and reinstall Windows yet again - and yet another MC installation.  Then, it turned out that my choice of a substitute drive was a bad one (I failed to realize that it was a green NAS drive, which was both slow and unwilling to play nicely with my Intel Rapid Storage Technology setup.)  I finally broke down and bought a new hard drive, which arrived this morning and now I need to install MC yet again.

In the same time period, I upgraded my laptop.  Between the original and the new laptops, that was two more MC installations.

Where I am going with this is that I am about to install MC for the tenth time since I purchased.  Your support sticky says to contact you if I run out.  As of later today, I will have used my last installation and I just wanted to be on record in case I need to install again after this for whatever reason.  Thanks for your consideration.

Your Media Center 21 Master license has been reset.

Thanks.
