Hi, I'm running an Asus Xonar Essence ii 7.1 soundcard. In JRiver 21.0.80, Asio outputs only to the satellite speakers (not the subwoofer), but in Foobar the Asio driver can be adapted, allowing you to specify that LFE signals should go to the sub, etc (see custom channel mapping for Asio - File/Preferences/Output/Asio). The resultant sound is significantly better than JRiver on WASAPI plus stereo mixed to 2.1, which is the only option if you want stereo plus sub through the card (without this mixing, the card upmixes stereo to 5.1 and there is no 2.1 option on the card).
Can anyone advise on whether a similar feature is available in JRiver? Or can I put in a request for it in a future upgrade? The card, btw, is excellent - if you threw away the drivers and rewrote them from scratch!

Shouldn't you just be able to use a channel reordering in Parametric Equalizer?

Thanks for replying so quickly. I just had a look at that option. Are you able to be a bit more specific? I've looked at Order Channels, Subwoofer Limiter and Adjust Low Frequencies but can't see how to make it work.

In Parametric Equalizer, pick Add > Order channels.
Then drag the channels at the bottom list into the right ordering.
And of course make sure you turn Parametric Equalizer on in the DSP Studio.
