Title: jremote-gizmo/webgizmo - customize views broken ??
Post by: eddyshere on May 18, 2016, 01:31:48 pm
I can no longer customize views. If I nest or even build Categories they are just not showing up. Is there something broken?

You might have to restart JRemote and the server.

tried it all...to narrow down I now just try to get gizmo (by logging in locally) on the server to replicate the customization done on it...no luck

UPDATE : It works if I use certain of the the standard library fields. I had defined a custom library field. That one is simply skipped if used in the view customization. But it clearly looks like something is not working. Maybe this helps ...

The best way to develop views for JRemote/Gizmo is to make them in Standard View first. Get them working correctly in Standard View, showing the fields you want to see, the way you wan to see them.  Then when that works, export that view to JRemote/Gizmo by adding it in the Customize Views for JRemote dialog.

It sounds like your view needs some tweaking first before you move it to JRemote.
