Title: Serving FLAC files to Marantz AVR 7701?

Hi! I've experimented with playing FLAC files from a thumb drive with my Marantz AVR 7701 and it does a beautiful job.

I'd like to use JRiver media server to serve FLAC files from a Windows 10 PC on the local network.

Under "Media & Networks" I have the audio conversion set to "Don't convert files."

Yet the Marantz reports the data being received as MP3 320 kbps.

What am I missing here?

Well I hate to say "never mind!" but Google turned up this post on this forum: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=85984.msg587955#msg587955

I had done the same thing that poster had done: I changed the "Client options" but failed to notice the "Server" settings. I'm getting FLAC files sent to the Marantz now.

I think I'll be a little poorer for buying HDTracks albums. :)
