I'm trying to set a renderer on my network as the default playback device and can't figure out how to do that.  JRiver always reverts to the "Player" through my Mac when I start the program. And, it occasionally goes back to the JRiver player when I select an album from the "Audio" view when I'm already playing music on the renderer.

Having the same challenge as mattu123, 2 years later, including not finding an answer.
There surely must be an option to change the default zone?

Right click on the renderer in the tree to find options.

Try setting MC to start in "Last Location".  It's in the Startup options.
