Title: WIndows 10 Home or Pro ?
Post by: bhampster on June 03, 2016, 07:39:21 am
Hi,

I decided to do a clean install of windows 10 because it had been a while.

Windows 10 installled as "home"... This happened to me before and I never realized it till I wanted remote access and it was simple for me to upgrade it to Pro using a default key I found online... (I think my PC originally qualified for pro or the default key would have not worked.)

I later realized Remote Acesss didn't work well for me because I couldn't get to mapped network drives from the remote connection.

Anyways,... My question is ... Would Home vs Pro matter if the PC does nothing but JRiver and Plex ? (I run them both ... JRiver for my system and plex for everyone else in the house with a display or device.)

Never mind ---- My google says Pro has nothing I should want but it's easy to upgrade my copy and I will I guess for the heck of it.

The problem i have with windows 7 home premium. Is the number of connections to a shared location.

I will be going to windows 10 pro so i can get rid of this issue.
