Title: Can't Connect Thru Internet On Mac
Post by: vigotone on June 22, 2016, 12:26:19 am
I have my router (Airport Time Capsule) set up to forward port 52199, but it keeps saying the Library Server is not reachable through the internet. Can someone please help me? I've been researching this for hours!

The wiki has a topic called Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access) that might help.  It could also be a firewall setting.

Check the firewall on your Mac.  It's probably on.  Turn it off as a test.

Double check the IP address on the Mac as well and make sure it matches that entry you have for Private IP address in your screen shot.

Looks like I fixed it. The Firewall was off, but the IP address that I used to forward the port did not match the IP address of my Mac Mini at home, which was 10.0.1.31. All is working as it should now!

Thanks so much for your help!

By the way, I had looked at the wiki page linked above, but perhaps it could be updated to help those of us on a Mac (with step-by-step instructions for dummies like me). Just a suggestion...
