Title: Change File Path for All Files
Post by: Hyekk on June 24, 2016, 08:20:10 am
I have my music files in a several different directories on an external harddrive. I have a second external harddrive whose directory structure is the same except for the volume name. How can I re-address all of my files so that they now point to the second hard drive. I tried find and replace but it doesn't seem to just find and replace the volume name it eliminates all the subdirectories too. Is there not way to simply use find a replace to change a single term in the file path?

I apologise if this is straightforward and I've missed something. I read some other threads but none of them seemed to explain exactly how to do this.

Thanks

I just figured it out, the very second after I decided to post. I had both the 'find and replace' and the 'directories' box ticked. After unticking the directories box it worked.

Thanks to all those who would have helped!

Nice job!  Welcome to the Rename, Move, and Copy tool.  One of MC's most powerful features.
