Title: applying replay gain to ape files

is there a compatibility problem in applying replay gain to ape files for burning purposes.  i got one message on this forum that suggested that this was so (he advised me to use FLAC files instead).  knowing that matt created MAC as well as MC9 i find this unlikely, but wanted to check anyway,

Replay gain works equally well with all the formats MC internally supports: mp3, ogg, wma, ape, etc.
