I'm using 9.1.206, and when i burn an audio CD, every song ends up on track 1. but it writes the index correctly, because i can cycle through every track number, but they are one after another on the first track. do i have something set wrong? should i download the latest version?

If you use beta software, please ALWAYS download and test the latest version before reporting any problems.
Thanks.

Well if you are happy to use the beta why wouldn't you want the latest version? I mean there have been 20 releases since then. Think what you've missed.
-
i understand about posting problems with betas that are out of date, i'll try to update. but as far as updating for pleasure, it's not very pleasurable to download an update on a 56k modem, so i update when i have time.
-
I have a 56K modem too and my crappy ISP lets me connect at about 24kbps. I DL every new version though by just leaving it overnight or while watching tele. I can see how it would be a problem if you pay per-minute rates but if you have 'anytime' rates it's no hardship.
-
well, when you work full time, go to school, and have two kids under the age of two, time is limited ;)
but anyway, i updated to the latest version and i still have the same problem. see the first post for details.
-
I'm not sure I understand the problem. Are you saying that if you burn five different songs to CD, you end up with five tracks on the CD which are all copies of the first song?
-
i'm saying that if i burn five songs, all five end up on track one, like having a 25 minute medly of songs. but the index for the cd still lists five tracks, but the other four are blank.
-
Did you burn with DSP/Xfade ticked and/or write CD text? I had all sorts of problems writing CD Text with Xfade on so I leave XFade off when I'm writing CD Text.

Could you post your system info here (from MC's help menu)? Also, if you're comfortable editing the registry, please send me a log file using these instructions:
Turn on MC's logging for CD burning by changing the value of this registry key from zero (0) to one (1):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JRiver\Media Jukebox\CD Writer\Logger
Then just start up Media Center and try to burn a CD (you can leave test mode checked to avoid creating a coaster). Then exit MC and find a file in the MC program directory called "cdwriter.log" and email that to me. Remember that the log file is overwritten each time you start up MC, so you must send the file before restarting MC.
Thanks!

Can you describe the problems you had?
