Title: Pause after a track in playlist?
Post by: MarkyMark on July 01, 2016, 11:26:21 pm
Can I have Media Center pause after a track in a playlist? It is semi-frequent that someone wants to make an announcement in the midst of a playlist, or a singer wants to talk some in between tracks. I've seen on radio automation software a button to stop play after the current song. Is there a similar animal in Media Center?

You can make MC stop after the current track.  Right click on the stop button and select "stop after current track".  That only applies to the current track and doesn't "stick".  You'll need to do it again any time you want to stop after the current song.

You could also insert dummy files in between songs.  Files that are (for example) 30 seconds of silence.  This would give you time to manually stop playback if someone wants to talk.  Of course you'd need to skip to the next "real" song when no one wanted to talk.

I hope this helps.

Did not know about the right click on the stop button. That does the trick!

Thanks!!!

Cool. :)

FYI that's also available on the Player menu (at the top).  ...and it's a hot key by default too:  <command><Shift>S  .
