Is it possible for you to get a PayPal account? If you can, I've heard it's possible to get a debit card issued from them that you can use to buy MC.

Would be even simplerfor users in  the position of not having a credit card if JRiver accepted PayPal.
I use mine all the time for eBay as well as other purchases and payments, works great.
Then again they may not wanna bother or pay any fees (in which case many would opt to pay the additional fee for using Paypal as it is nominal).

Can't you wire the cash to someone with a CC who can then buy it for you.  Presumably this someone can purchase MC without actually running the software themselves?  Or if they are running the software can they purchase a key without affecting their own registration?

Please help, JRiver!  This guy has just made the nicest skin ever and can't be allowed to leave!

Shoot. You could send me the payment via PayPal and I'd buy the software for you using my CC.

That does raise a good question. How does a potential customer that may be prevented from using a credit system (ie. bad credit, against beliefs, etc) purchase the product?

Not to start an argument here, but I do have an aquaintance that uses a AMEX card because it is not a credit card but a revolving credit account. The AMEX card allows him to pay the balance at the end of the month and not pay interest. He sought approval from his Iman. The Iman said it is ok to pay a fee, but not to pay interest.

Maybe this isn't what was being talked about, if it was, I hope it helps.

I bought MC using my debit card, which comes directly from my checking account. You get the conveinence of using a credit card, without the hassles.

Yes, I understand your situation. Unfortunately, JRiver only accepts Visa or Mastercard, so you're stuck with having to deal with a "middle-man". Hopefully you have a local associate with a Visa or Mastercard.

If not, hopefully you can create a PayPal account. With the PayPal account you can more easily find a middle-man to help you out. Also, you may be able to get their debit card, which has no credit line, but uses the Mastercard network.

If none of those work out, you could send money by check through the mail to a middle-man with a Visa or Mastercard.

It's all nuts, I know, but if JRiver is that specific about what they will accept, and you really want the product, there you are.

That's just what I was thinking but didn't suggest it 'cos it would cost me more than $5 to send the cash to the US.  If anyone from the UK wants to do it I'd be happy to send the cash.
