I have a Windows laptop and I'm driving myself nuts trying to get MC21 to recognise FabFilter Pro Q2. I gather from other users that it's possible to use Pro Q2 with MC21.
I go into Audio Settings and then DSP Studio. I click on Manage Plug Ins then Add JRiver / VST plug in. I navigate to C/Program Files and find the FabFilter folder. There's a file called FabFilter ProQ2.aaxplugin, but that's no good because the file extension has to be .dll. The other option is FabFilter Pro Q2.dll, but when I select that I get an error message saying Failed to install plug in.
What am I doing wrong?

Problem solved. My laptop is 64 bit and hence I had downloaded the 64 bit version of FabFilter. However MC21 is 32 bit.
So I downloaded 32 bit FabFilter and the plug in now works fine.
