Title: MC Server Freezing while watching "bad" recorded shows
Post by: tzr916 on July 14, 2016, 04:55:27 pm
Appears that last night sometime between 8pm-10pm, while there were 3-4 tuners recording, something was causing severe breakup in the signal or recordings. We just tried to watch some of those shows from that time period, and they have severe digital breakup to the point where MC freezes and I have to kill the process. I can play these files in other players and they do play through the bad spots, whereas MC freezes and cannot recover or be controlled.

I'm very thankful MC continues to RECORD these shows and does not crash while recording! But sad that it chokes while playing them back. Here are two log files when MC freezes while playing these "bad" shows:

I used to see this when watching "poor recordings" using madVR. It was madVR that would crash. Are you using RO+HQ? If yes, try playing the shows with RO-Std.
