Title: [resolved] When Is Data Entered Into a New Field Actually Saved?

If I make a new field and mark it to save its data in the file tags, when is the data I enter actually saved - upon entering or changing the data in the new field or do I need to play the file first to save the data?

I'm sure it's supposed to be as soon as you press 'Enter' to commit the change.
